On March 4, Dr. Johnson will be speaking at the Trinity Bible Conference hosted by Trinity PCA in Boerne, TX, on the topic, “God with Us: Jesus as Prophet, Priest, and King in the Epistle to the Hebrews.” The following day, March 5, Dr. Johnson will also be preaching at Trinity PCA.
God designed us to glorify and enjoy him by knowing him truly, approaching him confidently, and serving him eagerly. Sin has made a mess of all aspects of our identity as people made in God’s image. To bridge the gap created by our sin, God ordained prophets, priests, and kings for Israel; all three offices were designed to converge in Jesus Christ, the final prophet, perfect priest, and king of kings. The Letter to the Hebrews richly displays how Christ supremely meets our needs to hear God’s voice, approach his presence, and thrive under his rule.
