As a Reformed theological seminary committed to in-person education, WSC combines theological study with life in a close-knit Christian community. Students learn, pray, and share life together as they prepare for faithful ministry.
Our Seminary in Southern California is united by a profound commitment to Christ and to his gospel as recorded in the Scriptures and expressed in our common confessions of faith.
WSC’s small class sizes give students the opportunity to engage closely with professors and classmates. Ask questions, discuss what you’re learning, and work through Scripture and theology together.
Our pastor-scholars bring academic expertise and ministry experience to the classroom. They teach, mentor, and encourage students as they prepare to serve Christ and his church.
Seminary work can be demanding, but you don’t have to do it alone. Students spend time studying together in the library, meeting up for study groups, talking through difficult readings, and helping one another prepare for class.
Life at WSC extends beyond the classroom. Each student experiences a Christian community of faith not only in the classroom but also in a variety of contexts outside of class that promote spiritual life, faith, and fellowship.
Our on-campus housing makes it easy to be part of the WSC community. Located just steps from the main campus, our affordable housing provides a unique fellowship opportunity for students and their families.
Some of the best conversations happen around a table. From lunch between classes to dinners with friends, everyday moments give students time to connect and enjoy life together.
A variety of campus associations provide opportunities to pray, serve, and fellowship with fellow students and families. Each of these organizations hosts several events throughout the year, so you have plenty of opportunities to connect!
WSC is a place where students are encouraged to grow not only in knowledge but in their love for Christ and his church.
Christ is at the center of all that we do. Students gather for morning devotions led by faculty and special guests on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and come together in smaller prayer groups with faculty members on Wednesday mornings.
There’s always something happening beyond the classroom. Throughout the year, students gather for lectures, fellowship meals, special events, and other opportunities to learn, worship, and enjoy time together as a community.
Ministry preparation extends beyond our campus. Students are encouraged to contribute to the life of their local churches, putting what they learn into practice as they serve, teach, lead, and grow alongside the people they will one day serve.
Don’t just take our word for it, hear what other students and graduates of WSC have to say about their experience at our Seminary in California.
