Dr. McArthur has served as Vice President for Administration since 2013. In this role, he oversees the non-academic operations of the seminary, including facilities and grounds, housing, front office administration, information technology, human resources, risk management, campus safety, and strategic planning. As VP for Administration, he serves on the Executive Council. In addition, he occasionally teaches graduate writing and church history courses at the seminary. Before coming to WSC, he taught history at the undergraduate level at multiple institutions and served as an editor. He was honored to serve a lead role in fulfilling the WSC founders’ vision of building on-campus student housing, which provides affordable, premium housing to WSC students and their families.

Dr. McArthur earned his B.A. in Sociology from UCLA and M.A. in Historical Theology from Westminster Seminary California. After serving as Business Manager for the White Horse Inn, he then went on to earn his Ph.D. in History from Saint Louis University in 2012. He lives with his wife, Mandi, and three children in Valley Center, CA.
