“The Non-Insistent Pastor: Conscience and Submission in History, Theology, and Churchmanship”

Dr. Harrison Perkins

April 10-11, 2025

For the spring 2025 term, the Westminster Student Association has invited Dr. Harrison Perkins to speak to the student body on “The Non-Insistent Pastor”. In two lectures (taking place Thursday, April 10th, and Friday, April 11th), Dr. Perkins will be exploring a topic challenging to churchmen and women as he explores issues of conscience and Christian liberty, as they exist in tension with the ecclesiastical call to submission for catholic unity throughout church history.

On Thursday morning, Dr. Perkins will be discussing James Ussher and the challenge of Conformism. On Friday, he will be discussing the role of covenant commitment within church discipleship. There will be many opportunities for questions and fellowship, you won’t want to miss it!

This is a WSA-sponsored event. Please contact them with any questions at [email protected]
