God is working all things for our salvation, but the path that gets us there is rarely that of least resistance. In Exodus 2, we find the crooked roadmap that prepares Moses to be the savior of Israel–prefiguring the cruciform itinerary that leads Christ to be the Savior of the world.

Christ alone is our assurance of salvation

Christians are called to enter into a spirit of hope in the Lord who fulfills his post-exilic purposes for his people in Christ.

The final saying of Jesus on the cross indicates that communion was restored, having accomplished our salvation.

Through Naaman receiving healing from his leprosy we learn that God is sovereign in taking his people from bondage to blessing.

The coming of Jesus is the coming of comfort for God's people.
