An exploration of the relationship between music and culture.

Though this is hymn is typically employed to celebrate a man-made “holy day,” it is a wonderful reminder of the unfolding drama of God's revelation that culminated in the advent of Christ. 

Should we determine what we sing in church simply on the basis of what is familiar to us, that is, what we like? Or are there biblical principles that must guide what we sing?
