Desert Island Books: Michael Horton

Desert Island Books: Michael Horton

Imagine yourself on a beautiful desert island. You've unplugged from the digital world. No cellphone, no twitter, no facebook, no radio, and no tv. With you on the island you have your Bible. In addition, you can only take with you five books. Which five books would you choose and why?

In this episode Office Hours talks to Dr. Michael Horton, Professor of Systematic Theology and Apologetics, to find out which five books he would take with him to the desert island.

Dr. Horton's selection:

  1. Against the Heresies by St. Irenaeus of Lyons
  2. Institutes of the Christian Religion by John Calvin
  3. Communion with God by John Owen
  4. Miracles by C.S. Lewis
  5. Sources of the Self: The Making of the Modern Identity or A Secular Age by Charles Taylor
