What work or ministries have you been involved with since graduation?

I have been the lead pastor at Cornerstone Christian Church in Medford, OR for five years. Cornerstone was ratified as a congregation of the URCNA in 2022. Prior to this, I served at First URC in Chino, CA for ten years.

Have you pursued/completed further education since graduation? If so, where?

I received a D. Min. from Ligonier Academy of Biblical and Theological Studies in 2017. My major project considered the theme of seeking God’s face in worship.

How has your seminary education been valuable in your current vocation (or any vocation since graduation)? Has it been valuable in ways you weren’t expecting?

I preach and teach multiple times each week, so my training in the Bible has been invaluable as I seek to bring God’s word to bear on the lives of his people. As a pastor the impact of my training has broader reach too, as bears on pastoral care and counseling, and engagement with local pastors and school administrators.

What would you say to someone who is currently considering seminary education at WSC?

I would be honest and say that it was rigorous, but I loved my time as a student at WSC and I’m so thankful for the training, mentorship, and the lasting relationships.
