Class of 2012

What work or ministries have you been involved with since graduation?

In 2021, I was appointed to the faculty of International Reformed Baptist Seminary as Adjunct Professor of Biblical Languages where I teach Greek 1–3 and OT Prophets. This Fall, I was appointed to the faculty of the Institute of Public Theology as Instructor in Biblical Languages where I teach Greek 1–3.

Have you pursued/completed further education since graduation?

I earned my PhD from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Old Testament Interpretation) in May of 2021.

How has your seminary education been valuable in your current vocation (or any vocation since graduation)? Has it been valuable in ways you weren’t expecting?

WSCAL gave me a love for the languages, a Christocentric lens for reading the scriptures, a deep gratitude for the church, and a high and lofty view of the Triune God.

My theological education has continued to pay dividends working through complicated scenarios that inevitably arise during pastoral ministry. WSC helped set a theological foundation that I’ve been able to build upon and apply to practical (and sometimes difficult) situations arising in the life of the church and my congregants.

What would you say to someone who is currently considering seminary education at WSC?

I couldn’t recommend more highly the privilege to study under the stellar faculty of WSCAL.
