What work or ministries have you been involved with since graduation?

I work as the associate pastor at the Independent Presbyterian Church, Savannah.

How has your seminary education been valuable in your current vocation (or any vocation since graduation)? Has it been valuable in ways you weren’t expecting?

Yes, of course. It has been useful in the expected ways, in as much as I have been given a number of tools to make use of in the regular ministry of the word to God’s people. At the same time, there were many intangibles that I picked up from seminary which I did not know would prove so useful, including elements of informal interactions with other students as I observed their lives, private conversations with professors, and even the rhythms of prayer, study, meditation, and leisure.

What would you say to someone who is currently considering seminary education at WSC?

I would say to them that they should give themselves wholeheartedly to the study and life of the seminary as to the Lord. Prayerfully read, thoughtfully pray, and seek a heart and mind cultivated for a life of ministry.
