New Director of Admissions & Alumni Relations

Westminster Seminary California is proud to introduce our new Director of Admissions & Alumni Relations, Cassady Gilmour.

Gilmour is an alumna of the seminary, graduating in 2022 with a Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies. (Watch her graduation reception address here.)

Gilmour came to WSC as a student in July 2019 and shortly thereafter joined the staff as a Front Office Assistant. While pursuing her MA in Biblical Studies, she joined the Enrollment team as has worked most recently as Recruiting & Alumni Relations Coordinator.

“Since the very first days of my admissions work with WSC, my favorite part has always been the interaction with prospective students,” she said. “I love that, in this new role, I am able to combine that with a bit more behind-the-scenes work on the seminary's overall recruiting strategy and admissions workflow.”

In addition to her work in admissions, Gilmour said she has enjoyed delving into alumni relations with the seminary.

“One of my primary goals is to continue improving the experience of our admissions process for prospective students from their very first inquiry to their admittance and enrollment at WSC,” she said. “For me, the key is keeping in mind that any work we do here in the Admissions office is, ultimately, service on behalf of Christ, His Gospel, and His Church. This serves as a helpful reminder of why we are committed to excellence in this work of communicating with prospective students.”

Hoping to develop close partnerships with WSC alumni around the world in order to create closer ties between admissions and alumni relations efforts, Gilmour believes no one is more qualified to identify a future seminarian better than someone who's already been here.

“My hope is to do this through communicating more personally and regularly with alumni, scheduling in-person visits to their churches when I'm out on recruiting trips, and cultivating more opportunities to gather and connect our alums at events like General Assembly,” she said. “I'm excited and, admittedly, a bit intimidated to get started on this important work.”
