The faculty invites the WSC community to come and hear Dr. Jennifer Herdt, Professor of Christian Ethics, at Yale Divinity School, who will deliver two lectures Monday evening and Tuesday morning in a seminary-wide convocation address on October 23rd and 24th as a part of our Women in Theology Lecture Series.
Dr. Herdt’s lecture titles are, Integrity as Caring Witness, and The Lofty Vocation of the Humble.
You won’t want to miss these lectures, as Dr. Herdt is very knowledgeable and an expert in the field of ethics. She currently teaches at Yale Divinity School and taught at the University of Notre Dame before her time at Yale. She is the author of Putting on Virtue: The Legacy of the Splendid Vices (Eerdmans) and Religion and Faction in Lumen’s Moral Philosophy. She is presently working on a forthcoming book Forming Humanity, which is being support by a research fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
Monday evening’s lecture will be in CR 4 at 7 p.m. and Tuesday morning’s lecture will be in the chapel at 10-11:00 a.m.
