Cambodia Vision Trip

Cambodia Vision Trip

Westminster Seminary California (WSC) and Mission to the World (MTW)—the missions arm of the Presbyterian Church in America—are partnering to give a team of WSC students an opportunity to participate in a week-long vision trip to Cambodia during their 2024 Spring Break. Cambodia has a brutal history, and the challenges to the Gospel are many. Life in Phnom Penh (the capital) is increasingly materialistic while concern for the spirits of ancestors still marks village life. The Cambodia government reports that of its 17 million people, 80% are Buddhist, 19% practice Islam, animism, or atheism, and only 1% are Christian. But the Lord has blessed the efforts of MTW missionaries and the Cambodian pastors they support in church-planting and Gospel outreach, both in Phnom Penh and more rural villages.

The purpose of this trip is threefold:

  1. to deepen the WSC seminary education by exposing students to non-American Reformed churches and the dynamics of the global mission field,
  2. to establish a personal connection with Cambodian Presbyterian/Reformed churches so that students may either pursue becoming a missionary or partner with churches/missionaries serving in Cambodia, and
  3. to support and encourage the local church in Cambodia during the vision trip.

If you want to support a WSC student with this upcoming trip to Japan, please complete the form below.
