MA in Biblical Studies and MA in Theological Studies
3 YEARS, 98 CREDITS
The MABS-MATS program (3 years, 98 credit hours) offers a comprehensive curriculum in Biblical and Theological Studies. By studying Scripture’s original languages, literary forms, and historical context, graduates will be enabled to exegete God’s Word accurately and analyze contemporary biblical interpretation with discernment. Students examine Scripture in its original languages and are equipped with the knowledge and skills to accurately exegete God’s Word and recognize the systematic theological framework revealed therein, all with an awareness of the literary and historical context in which the biblical narrative is situated. The MABS-MATS program is an excellent choice for students interested in parachurch teaching ministries or Christian education.

4 YEARS, 140 CREDITS
The MDiv-MAHT program (4 years, 140 credits) pairs WSC’s time-honored MDiv curriculum with our unique MAHT program. This MDiv dual degree program is designed to train candidates for official, ordained ministries of instruction and leadership in the church, who have a particular interest in church history and the history of Christian theology. It also serves as excellent preparation for those hoping to pursue PhD work after seminary. Students are equipped with an understanding of the historical development of the various Christian theological traditions and the critical skills necessary for evaluating them and using this knowledge to faithfully preach the Word of God. Through studying the history of exegetical and dogmatic theology, graduates will be enabled to evaluate the theological formulations of each epoch with historical sensitivity and to relate the great issues of historical theology to contemporary intellectual and cultural movements.
