For 23 years, the WSC community has gathered for a Saturday soccer tournament named after Dr. Robert B. Strimple who retired in 2001 after 41 years of teaching at Westminster Seminary California. Dr. Strimple was honored as President Emeritus and Professor Emeritus of Systematic Theology and his legacy continues in honor through this annual soccer tournament with teams made up of students, staff, and faculty.
This year marked a special celebration as it was the first tournament held on campus on our newly converted recreational area affectionally known at The Field of Dreams. The field came into existence through the generosity of friends of the institution and a gift from the graduating class of 2000.
