On March 22-23, Dr. Horton will be speaking at the Valued Conference in San Diego, CA, alongside Rachel Denhollander, Jacob Denhollander, Boz Tchividjian, Lindsey Holcomb, and Justin Holcomb. This conference is a resource for the church on sexual abuse and assault and is hosted by Redemption PCA and Resurrection Presbyterian Church
The Valued Conference has been carefully developed by churches to be a resource for churches. We seek to mobilize and equip churches and believers to: biblically, wisely, and lovingly UNDERSTAND, PREVENT, IDENTIFY, AND RESPOND TO sexual abuse and assault, as Jesus Christ’s Church.
Sexual abuse & assault are prevalent issues facing the Church and broader society today. Come, hear from topical experts and practitioners who will provide teaching, resources, and action-oriented next steps.
Valued Conference is being led by volunteers and hosted by two local churches who simply seek to see themselves, along with others, better equipped and informed on the topic. We believe that the Word of God, in Christ Jesus and His Gospel, leads us to compassionately bring abounding love, hope, and comfort to survivors, as well as calls us to protect the vulnerable, and seek justice.
