Dr. Briones is an Associate Professor of New Testament at Westminster Theological Seminary, where he has served since 2019. He received a B.A. in Biblical Languages from Life Pacific College (2004), an MDiv from Talbot Seminary at Biola University (2007), and an MA in Biblical Studies and PhD in New Testament from Durham University (2011). He is an ordained minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. He is also the author of Paul’s Financial Policy: A Socio-Theological Approach (T&T Clark, 2013), co-editor of Paul and Seneca in Dialogue (Brill, 2019), and author of various NT articles and essays. Currently, he is working on a Philemon commentary for the International Theological Commentary series and a book on friendship entitled, Sharing God's Grace: A Theology of Friendship. He has been married to his wife, Mindy, for 17 years, and they have four children: Micah (10), Hailey (8), Caleb (5), and Noelle (2). Dr. Briones and his wife were born and raised in Southern California, but they are now enjoying four seasons a year in Pennsylvania.
