Fall Opening Convocation

August 19, 2021

The 2021-2022 academic year will begin with an Opening Convocation on Thursday, September 2 at 10 a.m. in the WSC Chapel. President Joel E. Kim will address the WSC community during this convocation. The Westminster Student Association (WSA) will provide refreshments immediately following.

Alumni Spotlight: Danny Marriott

“Being a full time teacher turned out not just to be a decent job but a career that I absolutely love. It is such a privilege to be able to spend my days in God’s Word and it brings me such joy to see the Holy Spirit work in students’ lives as He opens up their eyes to see the truth.”

Internship Spotlight: Caley Meza

“The Church is a treasure, filled with God’s real people, who have real problems, real sorrows, and who really need good pastors who will give them Christ every week, in Word and Sacraments.”

Internship Spotlight: Drew Admiraal

“One of the highlights of my time at Westside Reformed has been teaching through a portion of the Heidelberg catechism. It has been a blessing to be able to devote time to study the catechism and teach the wonderful, comforting, scriptural truths which are contained in it to the saints here in Cincinnati, OH.”

Internship Spotlight: Oguz N. Alhan

“Pastoral ministry is not only teaching doctrine, but also shepherding God’s people—leading them closer and closer to the cross of Christ amidst this broken and confused world. It has been an excellent experience for me to witness the work at Redeemer and learn how to conduct a ministry faithful through God’s Word and Sacraments.”

Alumni Spotlight: Dr. Stephen Fix

Fix serves as the Senior Pastor of Reformed Presbyterian Church of Bowie, and credits his time at WSC with laying a solid foundation for both his academic pursuits and his pastoral ministry.

WSC Announces Robert G. den Dulk Chair of Practical Theology

“From the beginning of WSC, one of Bob’s passions was a strong department of practical theology to contribute to the education of faithful and effective pastors and preachers of Jesus Christ. How splendid that WSC should now have as a constant reminder and encouragement the Robert G. den Dulk Chair of Practical Theology.”

Alumni Spotlight: Rev. Collin Welch

“One of the most frequent refrains I heard in my WSC courses was that studying was for the sake of caring for Christ’s sheep. My professors were faithful to drive this point home often, and I am so thankful for it.”

40th Annual Commencement

This year we celebrate our 40th class of graduates, who will join more than 1,200 alumni who are serving as pastors, church planters, missionaries, teachers, scholars, counselors, and lay leaders in over 30 countries throughout the world.
