The Westminster California Student Association (WSA) promotes Christian fellowship and growth among students, faculty and staff, and their families, and provides a voice for student concerns. The WSA officers (president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer) are elected annually by the student body. Each class also elects a representative.
WSA Activities
WSA activities are supported through an annual student activities fee. Traditional activities have included:
Welcome Back Picnic
The school year kicks off with a potluck and games, like volleyball or a water balloon toss.
Reformation Day Party
The evening includes a Reformation trivia contest and a costume contest—students are encouraged to dress up like Reformers, Bible characters, professors, and heretics.
Strimple Classic
Every spring the faculty and graduating students take on the rest of the students in an epic softball game, which is followed by dinner.
STRIMPLE CUP
Students, faculty, and staff are divided into teams for an afternoon-long soccer tournament followed by dinner.
Movie Night on the Quad
An event for students and families, it’s a chance to enjoy movies, popcorn, and beautiful evening weather.
Guest Speakers
Past speakers have included Dr. Vincent Bacote, Dr. Alexander Jun, Dr. Ed Welch, Rev. David Strain, Dr. Richard Muller, and Dr. John Bolt. Speakers usually give two convocation lectures and attend a dinner with interested students.
Faculty Panels
Lunch-time panels of three or four faculty discussing important issues like church leadership or the three biggest temptations of pastors: sex, money and power.
Campus-wide Lunches and Dinners
Free meals provide opportunities for fellowship among current and prospective students.
