Scripture is sufficient for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). Our Reformed Confessional tradition is clear that all things necessary to glorify and enjoy God are taught in Holy Scripture, either directly or through good and necessary consequence. The Holy Scriptures are the foundation of life and ministry. And the Scriptures themselves call us to use sanctified wisdom to live in ways that honor Christ in our common life shared with fellow image-bearers. This year’s annual conference will assist participants in understanding how the Scriptures are sufficient and applying this timely and important doctrine.

Dr. W. Robert Godfrey, What We Need to Know One of the great teachings of the Reformation is that the Scriptures are sufficient, teaching us all we need to know for true faith and a godly life. We will look at how that truth comes to expression in the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, and the Canons of Dort.
Dr. R. Jason Pickard, Sufficiency and Old Princeton Sufficiency and Old Princeton. The doctrine of Sufficiency, as taught at Old Princeton by theologians such as Charles Hodge and B.B. Warfield, remains a cornerstone for understanding the authority and relevance of Scripture. In this session, we will explore how these theologians articulated the sufficiency of Scripture in response to the challenges of their time, using illustrative examples drawn from their writings and sermons.
Dr. David VanDrunen, The Sufficiency of Scripture and Christian Cultural Engagement The Christian’s engagement with culture, particularly in areas such as politics, has long been a contentious topic. In this session, we will explore how Scripture is sufficient to guide Christians navigating cultural and societal issues.
Dr. Bradley J. Bitner, The Sufficiency of Scripture for Building God’s Church Scripture is given to build Christ’s church. By the Scriptures Christians are built up in holiness and comfort. God’s Word is both the blueprint for this building project and the Spirit-empowered tool with which we build. Jesus Christ himself is the only foundation upon which the Church in every age and every place rises as a temple to God’s glory.
President Joel E. Kim, The Revelation of God Displayed in Creation The heavens declare the glory of God. This session will consider God’s revelation to us in creation allowing a deeper appreciation for the richness of God’s self-disclosure in His Word and works.
