In-Person Education

In a world where virtual education is becoming increasingly common, Westminster Seminary California remains committed to in-person education. Learn more about our commitment to face-to-face learning below.

Experience the Difference of In-Person Training

Westminster Seminary California believes that in-person education offers the most robust and well-rounded seminary education and formation. Theological training and ministry preparation, like ministry itself, is communal. The adage, practice like you are going to play, is prudent. Our classes encourage participation as an essential ingredient to our academic and spiritual formation. However, learning does not start and stop during scheduled classes but is ongoing. WSC students, alumni, and faculty all count their interactions with one another in the student lounge, library, local coffee shops, (beaches – we must say something about beaches in Southern California), and homes among their fondest memories of seminary. It is in these settings where the classroom instruction is nurtured, matured, and nuanced.

WSC remains committed to fostering a vibrant community in which we learn, live, and love together. The ‘we’ in that sentence is not merely the students, but the faculty, administration, our families, our churches, and our community.

In short, a seminary education is not just taught, but it is caught.

Student Testimony

“Westminster California has truly been a blessing for me and my family. Not only does the faculty emphasize theological precision, but they do so with pastoral care. The ability to meet with them one-on-one and live alongside fellow students has allowed for invaluable learning opportunities outside of the classroom. No matter where the Lord calls us at the completion of our time here, the growth I have experienced and been able to share with my wife and children has been priceless.”
