On June 1, 2013, WSC sent forth 38 students to serve as pastors, teachers, missionaries, and leaders for the church and for the world. The commencement ceremony was held at Emmanuel Faith Community Church at 10 a.m. Rev. Ross Graham, former general secretary of the Committee on Home Missions and Church Extension of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, delivered the address to the graduates. Listen to the address.
The annual Graduation Reception was held on Friday, May 31 at 7 p.m. in the WSC chapel. This was a special time for the graduating class of 2013 to reflect on their seminary experience with their family and friends, and with the faculty and staff of WSC. Dr. Godfrey gave a charge to the graduating class.
This year, the Arthur Forrest Wells Memorial Award recipient was Mr. Robert Novak. This award is provided each year to an M.Div. graduate who upholds the highest standards of scholarship, subscribes to the Westminster Confession of Faith, with a career goal of serving as a minister in a Presbyterian or other Reformed denomination.
Since the first class graduated from WSC in 1982, Westminster Seminary California has sent forth over 900 alumni. More than three decades later, WSC remains committed to the church by equipping students who are faithful to Scripture and to the Reformed confessions.
