O Come, O Come, Emmanuel by J. V. Fesko

"O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" is one of the better-known hymns that is typically sung during the Christmas season....As people sing this hymn, they know that they are singing about the birth of Christ. However, what is striking about this hymn is the way in which it unpacks the birth of Christ. It moves from the shadows of the Old Testament into the light of the New Testament with the revelation of God in Christ.

Ecclesiastes addresses many of the troubling ambiguities of life, revealing the futility of this world. Quoted

"What I appreciate most is the Westminster culture of thoughtful reflection and theologizing on issues related to the church. This culture of reflection has been especially helpful as Christ’s church faces new issues and challenges. For those ministering in a multi-cultural, global context—it is invaluable."
—Lloyd Kim (M.Div. '99), Coordinator of Mission to the World, the missionary agency of the Presbyterian Church in America
