Step 1:
Review Application and Financial Aid

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the length of time needed to send and
receive application documents via postal mail, as well as
the time needed to process the I-20, international
applicants are strongly encouraged to begin the application
process at least one year prior to their desired enrollment
date.
Step 2:
Complete the WSC Application for Admission
Step 3:
Pay Application Fee
- Summer/Fall Applicants: $30.00 (if submitted before June 30th)
- Winter/Spring Applicants: $30.00 (if submitted before November 30)
- Late Application Fee: $45 (if submitted after the above date for the given term)
Checks should be made payable to Westminster Seminary California.
Students applying online must submit electronic payment to complete their application.
Payment may also be made by phone; WSC accepts Vise or
MasterCard.
Step 4:
Arrange for Ecclesiastical and Academic References

Step 5:
Request Official Transcripts
- An official transcript is needed from each
post-secondary institution from which the applicant has
received credit
- In-Process Undergraduate Students: Your application is
still able to be reviewed for admission if an in-process
transcript is supplied. Admission granted is on a
conditional basis contingent upon receipt of the applicant’s
final transcript.

Step 6:
Language Requirements
- Applicants whose native language is other than English
must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
which also includes the Test of Written English (TWE).
- The TOEFL is offered in internet-based, computer-based
and paper-based formats. The requirements for each are as
follows:
- Internet-based: Minimum score 89 on TOEFL, 26 on TWE
- Computer-based: Minimum score 230 on TOEFL, 4.5 on TWE
- Paper-based**: Minimum score 570 on TOEFL, 4.5 on TWE
**For the paper-based option,
students should apply to take the exam at least three months
prior to the date that test results are needed for submission to
the Seminary. Arrangements should be made by the applicant
directly with Educational Testing Service by contacting the TOEFL
Application Office.
Step 7:
Submit TOEFL and TWE Results to WSC
Office of Admissions
- Applicants should request that test results be sent
directly to Westminster Seminary California. Our school code
is 4980.
- The student's copy of the results cannot be used for
admissions purposes.
Step 8:
Submit All Application Pieces to the
WSC Office of Admissions

Step 9:
Begin I-20 Process to Obtain F-1 VISA
- Submit documentation of financial resources/support for both
the cost of seminary education as well as living expenses (e.g.
personal savings bank accounts, affidavits of support, certified
bank records, etc). For more information read the
entire “International Student Admissions” section in the Academic Catalogue >>
- In accessing the financial resources needed to complete a
degree program at WSC, students may refer to the cost of living
as outlined on the
WSC 2008-2009 Application for International
Student Financial Aid .
- Once all financial conditions have been met, the Certificate
of Eligibility (I-20 Visa) will be issued by the Designated
School Official (DSO).
- Please note that students who come to study on an I-20 Visa
must register as full-time students.
